I Secretly Love Paula, says Cowell

Simon Cowell may not always see eye to eye with American Idol co-judge Paula Abdul, but TV's Mr Nasty has revealed the pair actually secretly like each other.

"Paula's frustrating, she's annoying and I can't understand half of what she's talking about - but there's incredible comfort between us," he told TV Guide magazine.

"I think we're possibly secretly in love with each other."

However, Simon could not say for sure whether Idol's fourth judge Kara DioGuardi would be back next season.

"I would imagine so," he said. "The only say I have is about Ryan (Seacrest), Randy (Jackson) and Paula.
I've always made it clear that I wouldn't like to do the show without them."

But should Kara return next season, Simon would like she and Paula to quieten down a bit.

"Girls do tend to talk a little bit more than guys," he said.

"Randy's quick, and I don't say too much. But my God, these two.
